Auri

Terms of Use

Last updated: · Tiếng Việt

These terms apply to the Auri app for iPhone and iPad, made by ByTTech. Where these terms say "we", they mean ByTTech. Where they say "you", they mean the parent or caregiver who installs and sets up Auri. By using Auri you accept these terms. If you downloaded Auri from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. If the two disagree, Apple's agreement takes precedence.

What Auri is, and what it is not

Auri is a play app for practising language, made for autistic children aged 3 to 10 and meant to be used together with a parent. Its exercises follow teaching practices that have research behind them.

Auri is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or cure autism or any other condition, and it is not a replacement for speech therapy, occupational therapy, or advice from a doctor or other qualified professional. If you have concerns about your child's development, please talk to a professional. You are welcome to show them what your child does in Auri.

A parent stays in charge

Auri is set up by a parent, and the parent area sits behind a parent check. Please supervise your child's use of the device, choose how long they play, and keep the parent check to yourself. You are responsible for the settings you choose, such as sounds, motion and session length.

Price

This version of Auri is free. It has no ads and nothing to buy. If we ever add paid features, we will explain them before anyone can pay, and the purchase will go through Apple.

Your data

Everything you and your child enter stays on your device. The only exceptions are anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent, where it goes and how long it is kept.

Content

The exercises, pictures, sounds, characters (including Lumi) and the app itself belong to ByTTech or to the people who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Auri on Apple devices that you own or control, for your family's own use. Please do not copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content.

No guarantee of results

Every child learns differently. We work hard to make Auri useful and safe, but we cannot promise any particular result, and we cannot promise that the app will always be free of errors or available. Auri is provided "as is", to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of Auri. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.

Changes

We may update Auri and these terms. When we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters for how you use Auri, we will also mention it in the app's release notes.
